The OTT release date for the Malayalam romantic comedy movie "Maheshum Marutiyum" has been finalized by its creators. Directed by Sethu, the film features Asif Ali, Mamta Mohandas, Maniyanpilla Raju in prominent roles. A 1984 model Maruti 800 car is also a central character in the film. The flick is set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from April 7th onwards.
The movie is mostly about a love triangle between Mahesh, played by Asif, Gauri, played by Mamta, and Mahesh’s car, a Maruti 800. The car is special to Mahesh because it was bought by his father and given to him by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the time. But when things get hard, he has to decide whether to hold on to what is important to him or to let go and move on. The plot of this simple, feel-good movie is about how Mahesh makes these decisions.
Mamta Mohandas and Asif Ali are coming together after a long gap in this film. The two acted together in the 2010 film Kadha Thudarunnu. The cinematography of the film is by Fayez Siddique. Hari Narayan's lyrics are composed by Kedar. Jeet Joshi is the editor of the movie.
