The teaser of Ajay Devgn’s next film, Maidaan is finally out. `Maidaan` is a sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football. In the sports drama, Ajay is essaying the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is widely known as the founding father of Indian football.
In the teaser, we see a glimpse of the golden era of football, from 1952 to 1962. During this period, the Indian football team managed to qualify for the Olympics twice. Despite several hardships, including not even having shoes, the team gave it their all.

‘Maidaan’, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, script by Saiwyn Quadras and dialogues by Ritesh Shah. The film, which also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao along with Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.
Music of the film is by AR Rahman and the movie is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. The flick will be released in theatres globally on June 23, 2023
