Mammootty, who has been basking in the critical and commercial success of his last few films has now announced his next titled, ‘Bazooka’. The upcoming film, helmed by the veteran scriptwriter late Kaloor Dennis’ son Deeno Dennis. Apart from directing, he is also penning the script. The movie features Tamil filmmaker-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role. Shine Tom Chacko is also part of the cast.
The first-look poster showcases a calm man clad in a black suit (who seems like Mammotty), holding a gun in his hand, standing surrounded by four people whose laser guns are aimed at him. The alley where the scene is staged and the flashy signboards of nearby hotels hint at a stylish thriller. With its impressive design and striking visuals, the poster looks extremely promising.
The cinematography is being handled by “Rorschach” fame DP Nimish Ravi, who is joining hands with Mammootty for the second time. The film also will have music and score by Midhun Mukundan of “Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana" fame. The editing is handled by Nishad Yusuf.
'Bazooka' is reportedly mounted on a massive budget and is billed as a mind game thriller. The film is being bankrolled by Theatre of Dreams & Saregama and is set to go on floors soon.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is currently filming for Roby Varghese Raj's film titled Kannur Squad. Besides Kannur Squad, his upcoming outings include Kaathal: The Core and Telugu film Agent.
