Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie Maaveeran / Mahaveerudu with "Mandela" director Madonne Ashwin has been confirmed to hit theaters on August 11, 2023. The makers announced the release date with a video. It features behind-the-scene vignettes from Maaveeran’s making. Mahaveerudu will clash with megastar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar".
Sivakarthikeyan reportedly essays the role of a cartoonist and will be seen performing some high-level action sequences in the film. Aditi Shankar plays the leading lady while Sunil, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, and Saritha play key roles.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in bilingual film Prince, he is currently preparing to commence the shooting of his next film with Rajkumar Periyasamy, and the skilled actor has been strengthening his physique as he reportedly plays an army officer. Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the female lead, while GV Prakash Kumar is said to be scoring music to collaborate with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time.
