After the huge success of the fantasy-action film Bramhastra by Ranbir Kapoor, he is back on the big screen with a new film named Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar (TJMM) along with Shraddha Kapoor on its opposite side. TJMM marks the first collaboration between Shraddha and Ranbir. TJMM was directed by Luv Ranjan, and also written by him along with Rahul Mody. The movie has been produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films.
The flick was released on March 8th coinciding with the Holi weekend. After a long time a rom-com has worked at the box office. Though the film had mixed reviews from critics, audiences have loved it for its family-viewing quotient and comic elements. The audience also was overjoyed to witness this new combination and appreciated their captivating and endearing on-screen chemistry. The film has grossed Rs 220 crore at the box office.
The movie is currently playing in theatres, so you can go see it there too, but it is also coming to your own screens. Leading OTT platform Netflix has confirmed that the film will be accessible for streaming starting on May 3rd.
Synopsis: The film centers on two characters that fall in love, but when things get serious, the girl realizes she’s not ready for marriage and contacts a breakup service to assist her in ending the relationship. The twist then emerges, which is the main narrative.
Along with the lead pair, the movie also boasts the presence of stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in the supporting roles. Kartik Aaryan, Nushrratt Bharuccha also had a cameo role in the film.
