One of the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar has announced that the Tamil dark comedy Soppana Sundari, starring Aishwarya Rajesh, will debut on its platform on May 12. The film is available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. The movie boasts an impressive cast of Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Deepa Shankar, Karunakaran, Sathish, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, and Sunil Reddy, among others. The film has received average reviews from critics, but much appreciation from audiences.
Directed by SG Charles, revolves around a woman named Agalya (Aishwarya Rajesh) from a lower-middle-class family, who wins a car in a raffle draw. Though she plans a bright future with her mother played by Deepa Shankar and speech-impaired sister (Lakshmipriya Chandramouli), things soon turn topsy turvy.
Before Soppana Sundari, Aishwarya Rajesh was last seen in The Great Indian Kitchen and Run Baby Run. The Great Indian Kitchen available on Zee5, Run Baby Run available on Disney+ Hotstar. Aishwarya will also star in Idam Porul Yaeval, Dhruva Natchathiram, Ajayante Randam Moshanam, Mohandas, Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga, Pulimada and Her.
