"Virupaksha," directed by Karthik Varma Dandu and written by Sukumar and the director himself, made its theatrical debut on April 21, 2023. The film, which has already received immense praise from both viewers and critics, is now ready to entertain a wider audience through its OTT release. Virupaksha is now (May 21st) streaming on Netflix. The film is available in Telugu only as of now. English subtitles were also added.
Virupaksha is a mystery thriller set in the 1980s, starring Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon, Sunil, Rajeev Kanakala, Brahmaji, Ajay and Ravi Krishna in primary roles. The synopsis reads, "When a man visits his ancestral village, where terror reigns after a chain of unexplained deaths, he must unravel mystical secrets before it’s too late."
The film's leading lady, Samyuktha Menon won solid applause for the film and her performance in the climax is a special attraction. Sai Dharam has scored a hit after a long time and Virupaksha is his career's biggest hit so far. Music composed by Ajaneesh Lokanth of Kantara fame.
