After a long wait of six months, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer movie "Bhediya" has finally got its OTT premiere date. The creature-comedy, which was released on November 25, is all set to make its debut exclusively on Jio Cinema starting MAY 26 in Hindi and dubbed versions of Bengali, Marathi, Tamil (titled Onai), Telugu (titled Thodelu), Kannada and Malayalam languages. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Interestingly, It is the third horror-comedy installment from the producer who is also known for Stree (2018) and Roohi (2021).
The movie revolves around Bhaskar, who gets bitten by a wolf in the forests of Arunachal and finds changes in his body. As Bhaskar begins to transform into a shape-shifting werewolf, he and his friends try to find the mystery behind it. Bhediya after being released in theatres has received positive reviews from the audiences as well as from the critics. The movie also stars Paalin Kabak, Deepak Dobriyal, and Abhishek Banerjee, among others.
The movie received 13 nominations at the 68th Filmfare Awards, including Best Film (Critics), Best Actor (Critics) and Best Special Effects. Last month, the production house "Maddock Films" announced that Bhediya 2 would be released in 2025, and the story would continue from where Stree 2 ends.
