Manju Warrier starrer bilingual (Malayalam - Arabic) film "Ayisha" started streaming on Prime Video. The film directed by debutant Aamir Pallikkal, script written by Ashif Kakkodi, who wrote Halal Love Story and Momo In Dubai. The film, loosely based on actor Nilambur Ayisha's life, was released in theatres on January 20 and mostly got mediocre reviews from the audiences and turned out to be a flop.
Synopsis: Ayisha relocates to the Gulf to work as a domestic help for an affluent Arab family while gradually picking up the etiquette and protocol of the palace. A fascinating series of circumstances results in the growth of a lovely friendship between the titular character and Mama.
Manju Warrier got a wide appreciation for her portrayal of Ayisha. Classmates fame Radhika, who had made her comeback with Shaji N Karun’s Olu, essayed the role of Nisha in the movie. Krishna Sankar played as Abid, his notable films Neram (2013), Premam (2015), Marubhoomiyile Aana (2016) and Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela (2017).
Now, after a long gap of five months the film arrived online on Friday, June 9, 2023. Currently, it is streaming on an SVOD basis with only Malayalam audio and English subtitles. Let’s wait and see whether the Manju Warrier starrer will receive good reviews after its OTT streaming.
