Aditya Roy Kapoor is coming with a fantastic murder mystery film, ‘Gumraah' hit the big screens on April 7. The film received praise for the action sequences, but underperformed commercially, becoming a box-office bomb. Just two months after its theatrical release, the makers have the crime thriller drama flick on Netflix on June 4.
For those who are unaware, Gumraah is a remake of the Tamil film Thadam, starring Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep. The Hindi remake directed by newcomer Vardhan Ketkar, whereas the original was helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. The plot revolves around a murder investigation which becomes complicated after the police discover two lookalike suspects.
Aditya appears in a dual role and plays the characters named Arjun Sehgal and Sooraj Rana, while Mrunal Thakur is Sub Inspector Shivani Mathur alongside Ronit Roy, who plays ACP Dhiren Yadav. Meanwhile, Vedika Pinto portrays Adiya's love interest named Jahnvi along with Keeya Khanna, Mohit Anand, Ivan Rodrigues, Deepak Kalra, Navneet Kaur Thind and Akshay Bhagat in key roles.
