Mani Ratnam’s one of their highly anticipated film 'Ponniyin Selvan' was released in two parts, while the second part of the film was released in theatres last April. After the successful theatrical run of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', is streaming on Amazon Prime Video from June 02nd onwards. The epic drama is now available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada audio formats with English subtitles.
Based on author Kalki Krishnamurthy's popular 1955 Tamil novels of the same name, Ponniyin Selvan boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, R. Parthiban, Rahman, Lal, and Vikram Prabhu.
Synopsis: With a focus on Arulmozhi Varman's (Jayam Ravi) transformation into Rajaraja I, the revered king of the Chola dynasty, the movie begins with an intriguing preamble that explores the relationship between Adhitha Karikalan (Vikram) and Nandhini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), as well as the ongoing power struggle over succession for the Chola dynasty.
