Veeran, the recently released Tamil film starring Actor-musician Hiphop Tamizha Adhi in the lead role, is set to make its world digital premiere on Prime Video on June 30, the streaming platform announced. The film was released in theatres earlier this month. The flick received good reviews from both audiences and critics alike. ‘Veeran’ also did decent business at the box office, though we can’t call the superhero film a blockbuster hit.
The fantasy action drama directed by Ark Saravanan of Maragadha Naanayam fame and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Besides Adhi, the film also stars Munishkanth, Vinay Rai, Athira Raj, Kaali Venkat, and Sassi Selvaraj in pivotal roles.
Synopsis: Adhi plays Kumara, a young boy from Veeranur village, who is struck by lightning. His father decides to send him abroad for better treatment. But years later, upon his return, Kumara realises that he has gained superpowers which he must now hone to protect his village from an evil corporation and their menacing technology that could endanger innocent lives.
The film will start streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
