Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Hindi political drama 'Afwaah', helmed by Sudhir Mishra of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi fame. The film was released theatrically on May 5 – and clashed with the film, The Kerala Story, at the box office. Both films have had contrasting fortunes. While The Kerala Story was a monumental success, pocketing over Rs.300 crore, Afwaah struggled to gain momentum and soon made its exit from theatres.
Apart from Nawazuddin, the social thriller also features Bhumi Pednekar, Sumeet Vyas, Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, Rockey Raina, and TJ Bhanu in pivotal roles. The movie is now making its way to OTT, and a leading OTT platform NETFLIX has bagged the rights. It started streaming from Friday, June 30.
