It’s the weekend again and time for you to catch up with some films that are releasing on OTT platforms. Nearly 11 titles are likely to be released digitally on last week of June from different languages. Here is a list of the new OTT releases to watch out for:

GOOD NIGHT - Hotstar

Written and directed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran, the feel-good drama tells the tale of a man who struggles with the issue of snoring. Jai Bhim fame actor Manikandan & Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee fame actress Meetha Raghunath played the lead roles.

MEM FAMOUS - Prime Video

Mem Famous, a youth-centric film directed by YouTuber Sumanth Prabhas, made his acting and directorial debut. The Mem Famous narrative takes place in a small village in Telangana, where a group of close friends is determined to achieve fame at any cost.

VEERAN - Prime Video, Tentkotta, Simply South

Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi starrer Tamil superhero film Veeran, directed by ARK Saravan. The plot revolves around 15-year-old Kumaran (Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi), a resident of Veeranur, is struck by lightning and experiences a brief coma. After he has recovered, he eventually comes to understand that he possesses lightning and mind-controlling supernatural abilities.

VIMANAM - Zee5

Samuthirakani, Master Dhruvan played the lead roles in the film. It is about a physically challenged father who goes to great lengths to grant the wish of his son who wants to travel in an aero plane.

AFWAAH - Netflix

The political drama Afwaah, helmed by Sudhir Mishra of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi fame. The film depicts how rumors can have a destructive impact on individuals and society, leading to chaos, distrust, and fear. The film also highlights the need for responsible use of social media and the importance of fact-checking before spreading any news.

LAKADBAGGHA - Zee5

This action film deals with the underbelly of illegal animal trade and the inhuman treatment of the voiceless creatures. Anshuman Jha, Riddhi Dogra played in lead roles.

THE SONG OF SCORPIONS - Prime Video

The film, which is set in Jaisalmer's Thar desert, stars Iranian French actress Golshifteh Farahani opposite Irrfan. The late actor Irrfan can be seen playing a camel trader who falls in love with Nooran. The film is a twisted love story of revenge and the redemptive power of the song.

MAIL - AHA

It is a 2021 Telugu film Mail, directed by Uday Gurrala. Its description reads, "Fascinated by the world of computers and the internet, an innocent 18-year-old Ravi feels elated when a fellow villager Hybath opens a gaming center. Soon, an email unfurls a series of unexpected events stirring life-altering experiences."

NINNU CHERE THARUNAM - AHA Video

Actor, director, producer, and writer Manoj Tanniru plays the male lead protagonist. Manika Chikkala features opposite Manoj Tanniru. The film is centered on the love story between a blind man and his attractive neighbour and how far will the former go to hide a key secret from her.

KULASAMY - Tentkotta, Simply South

It features Vimal, Tanya Hope, Yogi Babu, Pugazh and Kalaiyarasan in the key roles. The movie centers around a young man who is falsely framed for a crime he did not commit. To clear his name and seek vengeance for his father’s death, he sets out on a mission. He comes face to face with the criminal organization as well.

LIVE - Manorama MAX, Simply South

Director VK Prakash’s ensemble thriller, starring Mamta Mohandas, Priya Prakash Varrier, Soubin Shahir and Shine Tom Chacko, revolves around two women, who are victims of fake news and cyber harassment, deciding to take on the media mafia.
