Versatile actress Huma Qureshi's latest biopic film 'Tarla' based on the life of famous chef Tarla Dalal will be having a direct OTT release. The film is directed as well as written by debutant Piyush Gupta, who wrote films like Dangal and Chhichhore. It is scheduled to premiere on Zee5 from July 7, 2023 onwards.
Tarla also features Sharib Hashmi, Bharati Achrekar, Amarjeet Singh, Rajeev Pandey, Purnendu Bhattacharya and Veenah Naair as key characters. The movie tells the inspiring journey of Tarla Dalal, a highly acclaimed Indian chef and cookbook writer, portrayed by Huma Qureshi. It delves into her remarkable rise to culinary prominence, portraying her ambition and determination.
