Sivakarthikeyan's recently released film 'Maaveeran' is ready for its streaming release. The film, which was released in Tamil and Telugu on July 14. The Telugu version was titled Mahaveerudu. The movie was also received well by the audience at the box office, giving SK a much-needed commercial success after the Prince debacle.
The director of the film is Madonne Ashwin, whose first film was the Yogi Babu starrer Mandela. He had won the National Award for Best Debut Film of Director and Best Screenplay (Dialogues), both of which were received by the filmmaker.
After one month of release, the film will be available for streaming online on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video from August 11. The film also starred Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sunil, and Balaji Sakthivel in the supporting roles. Vijay Sethupathi (Tamil) and Ravi Teja (Telugu) have lent their voice to Maaveeran.
Synopsis: Following a head injury, timid paper cartoonist Sathya (Sivakarthikeyan) starts hearing a voice telling him to confront corrupt politician Jeyakodi (Mysskin) and portraying his life as an epic story of courage.
According to the film's review, SK's on-screen charisma is the foundation of Maaveeran, while Yogi Babu's humour has also been drawing applause. Fans have also agreed that the film will propel SK to the next stage of popularity.
Also, the film will be streaming on Simply South on August 11th for Outside India viewers.
