Veteran actor Sarathkumar and young hero Ashok Selvan-starrer Tamil film Por Thozhil has made its digital debut. The film has received critical acclaim through its story, acting, cinematography all of which add to the theme of crime investigation of the film. After much waiting, 'Por Thozhil' releasing on Sony Liv on August 11.
The film has been written by Alfred Prakash, co-written and directed by Vignesh Raja in his directorial debut. The title of the film is inspired by Subramania Bharathi's poem, Puthiya Aathi Chuvadi.
The film centers on a surly veteran police officer (R Sarathkumar), who reluctantly becomes mentor to a DSP trainee cop (Ashok Selvan). As a spate of killings of young women rock society, the duo sets off to solve the mystery of the murders and catch the shrewd killer behind the brutal killings.
With its ensemble cast that includes Nizhalgal Ravi, Sarath Babu, P. L. Thenappan, O. A. K. Sundar, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sunil Sukhada, and Harish Kumar. The movie's music, composed by Jakes Bejoy, adds an extra layer of intensity and intrigue to the narrative, while Kalaiselvan Sivaji and Sreejith Sarang handle the cinematography and editing, respectively.
