Prabhas' highly anticipated film Adipurush, which garnered much attention due to its extravagant budget and controversy, is now available for streaming on the OTT platform Prime Video as well as Netflix. Due to its lackluster performance at the box office and largely negative reviews, the film failed to strike a chord with the audience.
Now, after approximately two months since its cinematic release, 'Adipurush' arrived on OTT platforms on Friday, August 11, without much fanfare from the creators. Amazon Prime Video is streaming the film in four South Indian languages- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada - while the Hindi version can be found on Netflix.
Billed at a reported budget of Rs 700 crore, Adipurush is the most expensive Indian film to date. The film features Prabhas as Raghav (Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Raavan). Apart from the lead cast, Adipurush also features Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, and Sonal Chauhan in pivotal roles. The film has been bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series. It is a retelling of the famous Hindu story and is directed by Om Raut.
