Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar is all set to put the OTT world on fire with his other flick after Walter Veeraiya. The film made its theatrical debut on August 11 and directed by Meher Ramesh, has previously directed Billa, Shakti, Kantri and the Kannada language feature, Veera Kannadiga. The film is an official remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedhalam, which starred Ajith Kumar in the lead role.
Bhola Shankar received lukewarm reviews from the audiences and failed to make an impression at the box office. The film, which faced stiff competition from Rajinikanth's Jailer, was criticized for its outdated story and lack to a gripping plot. Many fans express their disappointment, lamenting that the director missed a golden opportunity to deliver a hit with a seasoned actor like Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi played the role of gangster-turned-taxi driver named Shankar. Tamannah playing Chiranjeevi's love interest, while Keerthy Suresh played the role of his sister. The film revolves around the vengeful journey of a taxi driver named Shankar, a devoted brother determined to seek justice for his sister.
Five weeks after its theatrical premiere, the flick is all set to make its OTT premiere on Netflix from September 15th in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada languages.
