Thalapathy Vijay 65th film titled as Beast (Beast means Animal) directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, produced by Sun Pictures. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who composed music for Master, recommended Nelson Dilipkumar to Vijay to narrate a script. National Award winning stunt choreographer duo Anbariv have also been roped into the film.
Besides Vijay, Beast stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Malayalam actress Aparna Das, Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko in an important role. Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh and Pugazh providing comic relief.
First look poster revealed on June 21st for Director Nelson Dilipkumar birthday special. The poster shows Vijay’s character wielding a shotgun with a mounted telescopic sight. Vijay stands in a smoky effect wearing a sleeveless and a black pant.

The team completed shooting the first schedule in Georgia, next schedule shoot is planned in Chennai and the film will hit the screens next year during the Pongal festival.
Director Nelson to fame with his Tamil crime comedy Kolamavu Kokila, which featured Nayanthara in the role of a local drug peddler. He currently awaits the release of Tamil action comedy Doctor, which stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.
