Bollywood based Producer Boney Kapoor has bought the remake rights of Malayalam Superstar Mammootty's Political thriller film One, directed by Santhosh Viswanath. The film received a positive response from critics and audience alike.
In this film, Mammootty played the role of Kadakkal Chandran, the Chief Minister of Kerala, who is trying to implement the 'Right to Recall' law in the state.
Boney Kapoor's brother and Bollywood star Anil Kapoor will play the lead role in the Hindi version of One. The project is likely to go on floors in the first quarter of 2022.

After Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, Boney Kapoor will start the shooting of the Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen. It features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. He will also be producing the Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil film Comali which will star Arjun Kapoor.
Boney Kapoor's upcoming big-budget film is Valimai starring Thala Ajith Kumar. He is also going to remake 'Article 15' in Tamil with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Arunraja Kamaraj will be directing the film.
