Ishaan Khatter-starrer war film 'Pippa' skips theatrical release and is set to stream directly on PRIME Video starting on November 10. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the movie is based on the book 'The Burning Chaffees' by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.
Pippa is a portrayal of the pivotal Battle of Garibpur, a significant conflict during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 which also played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence. The film narrates the wartime journey and personal growth of Captain Balram Mehta (Ishaan Khatter) of the 45 Cavalry Tank Squadron.
The film is written by Menon, Tanmay Mohan, and Ravinder Randhawa. The film features Ishaan as the real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta along with Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles.
