After the success of ‘Jailer’, Rajinikanth has shifted gears toward the much-anticipated film led by director TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame. On the Superstar`s birthday, December 12, Lyca Productions revealed the title of the film along with its teaser.
Thalaivar 170th film is officially titled `Vettaiyan`. The title is the name of his popular character from his blockbuster film Chandramukhi. In the video, a stylish Rajinikanth is seen putting on his glasses as he delivers a dialogue about hunting his prey.
Rajinikanth will be seen sharing screen space with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.

Filming has spanned locations like Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, and Mumbai. The actor has also been shooting at various locations in the Southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who also composed the music for Jailer.
