A handful of Bollywood films are arriving on OTT this week and here’s a brief look into the titles and the OTT platforms that they’ll be premiering on. 

12TH FAIL - Hotstar

12th Fail is based on a true story and draws from the struggles of the millions of students who attempt the UPSC entrance exam. The film adapts Anurag Pathak’s non-fiction book based on the real-life journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma, IPS, and Shraddha Joshi, IRS. starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar in lead roles.

SHASTRY VIRUDH SHASTRY - Netflix

Shastry Virudh Shastry is a film that follows the emotional journey of a seven-year-old boy named Momoji, who is torn between his parents and loving grandparents. Paresh Rawal and Neena Kulkarni play grandparents. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee

THREE OF US - Netflix

The relationship drama Three of Us, featuring Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Swanand Kirkire, a tale of hope, healing, and love. The film was on the list of 25 films chosen for the Indian Panorama 2022 at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), last year. 

DONO - Zee5

Dono is a captivating coming-of-age love story following the journey of Rajveer and Diya, two strangers brought together by fate at their friends’ wedding. The film explores their relationship. The film marks Avnish S Barjatya’s directorial debut and Rajshri Productions’s attempt at love story, after a long gap of 33 years post Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).

KARMA STRIKES - Zee5

Every Love story faces its Karma and so did theirs. Anil and Divya fell in love but their love's foundation was laid on betrayal that ended up destroying the entire family of Anil; especially that of his loving daughter Sonam. Can Anil save his daughter from the wrath of his Karma? The film streaming on platform from Dec 24.

KHO GAYE HUM KAHAN - Netflix

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a coming-of-age drama directed by debutant director Arjun Varain Singh that tells the story of three best friends living in Mumbai who navigate through various aspects of life like personal goals, relationships, and emotions together. The upcoming film features Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Adarsh Gourav in pivotal roles. The film streaming on platform from Dec 26.

ONCE UPON TWO TIMES - Zee5

This film revolves around a family trip that takes an unexpected turn. Betrothed sweethearts Ahaan and Ruhi, played by Anud Singh Dhaka and Kashish Khan respectively, discover that their parents were once embittered lovers. As they attempt to mend their parents’ past, they confront the problems of their own present. Sanjay Suri and Mrinal Kulkarni played the prominent roles.

SAFED - Zee5

This film is a poignant drama that throws light into the dark world of a widow and a eunuch who, isolated and abandoned by society, find solace in each other. The film is directed by Sandeep Singh and features Abhay Verma, Meera Chopra, and Chhaya Kadam in lead roles. The narrative explores the deep-seated societal prejudices and the harsh realities faced by these marginalized individuals.
