Actor Anandhi has joined hands with director Gubenthiran Kamatchi for his maiden directorial venture, titled Mangai- TRAVEL OF WOMEN. Gubenthiran has earlier worked as a co-director and dialogue writer in Tamil and Telugu, including the recent Yaarum Oore Yaavarum Kelir. The film is backed by AR Jaffer Sadiq under the JSM Pictures banner.
The first-look poster of Mangai was released by actor Vijay Sethupathi and filmmakers Vetrimaaran and Ameer. Mangai discusses how men perceive women and describes the adventures a woman goes on in a journey.
Worth a Look
The bilingual (Tamil - Telugu) movie also stars Dushyanth Jayaprakash, Ram, and Adithya Kathir. Dushyanth, who is the son of veteran actor and producer Jayaprakash, played a prominent role in Sasikumar's 2010 directorial Easan.
The filming has been done in Kerala’s Munnar and Poopara, as well as in Tamil Nadu’s Theni, Cumbum, Kudalur, Lower Camp, and Chennai. The film, which is currently in the final stages of production, is gearing up for a release in March.
