Movies such as Arulnithi's D Block, Prithviraj's Kaduva, Aavasavyuham, Alia Bhatt's Darlings, Hansika's Maha, Wedding Season, Gopichand's Pakka commercial, Jaya Surya's John Luther and Thirteen Lives are now set to be released on OTT platforms this week.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Bollywood Actor Vivek Oberoi starrer Kaduva, Action thriller film directed by Shaji Kailas. Set in the 1990s, Kaduva revolves around the ego tussle between Prithviraj Sukumaran's titular character of Kaduva aka Kaduvakunnel Kuriyachan, a rubber planter in Kerala, and Vivek Oberoi's character of a cop named Joseph Chandy. Kaduva became one of the biggest blockbusters in the Malayalam cinema of this year earning around Rs 50 crore in its theatrical run.

Vrithakrithiyulla Chathuram fame director Krishand RK’s Aavasavyuham: The Arbit Documentation of An Amphibian Hunt, which won the Kerala State Award for Best Film. The science fiction Rahul Rajagopal, Zhinz Shan, Sreenath Babu, and others in the lead roles. Avasavyuham follows the events that are set off by the advent of a guy (Rahul Rajagopal) who is endowed with "special powers" and has no identity except for his name, Joy while painting an amusingly kaleidoscopic portrayal of society. The movie pokes fun at a variety of human follies using a heavily satirical, mockumentary style.

Arulnithi's D Block is a college-based thriller drama film directed by debutant Vijay Kumar Rajendran, the famous YouTuber who runs the channel named Eruma Saani. D Block depicts the horrific events that took place in the campus hostel. The film received mixed reviews praising Arulnithi's and Charandeep's performance but received criticism towards its plot and pacing.

Jayasurya starrer investigation thriller John Luther got many positive reviews from the audience when it hit the big screens and finally, the film is available to view on a popular OTT platform. Jayasurya played the title role of a police officer who has lost his hearing and burst an eardrum while investigating the disappearance of a teacher named Prakashan. Netflix's new romantic comedy film 'Wedding Season' direct digital premiere from August 4th onwards. Suraj Sharma, Pallavi Sharda, Arianna Afsar, Rizwan Manji and Ruth Goodwin will be playing as the star cast in this movie. Pressured by their parents to find spouses, Asha and Ravi pretend to date in order to survive a summer of weddings— but their ruse goes awry when feelings turn real. Wedding Season is directed by Tom Dey. Jongnic Bontemps and Raashi Kulkarni are scoring the music.

Hansika Motwani’s 50th Tamil mystery thriller film 'Maha’ was directed by debutant UR Jameel. Love between a working single mother and her child is the main subject of the film. Silambarasan plays Hansika Motwani's boyfriend in the film, and he will have a screen time of 40 minutes in his extended cameo role. The film also featured Srikanth, Sanam Shetty, Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran. The music for the movie was composed by Ghibran. The film within 15 days from its day of release, will now be making its digital premiere on Aha Tamil.

Thirteen Lives 

Thirteen Lives English Biographical, Survival film directed by Ron Howard. Chronicles the events of the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue that saw a junior football team and their coach trapped in a cave for a period of 18 days. Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton, and Tom Bateman playing the pivotal roles. Thirteen Lives dramatizes the details of the rescue and incredible efforts by the group of divers, rescue teams and volunteers that were involved.
