Telugu rural drama Rudramambapuram will directly stream on OTT instead of getting released in theatres. The streaming rights for the rural drama have been acquired by Disney Plus Hotstar. The film will premiere on this platform from 6th July 2023, which is the coming Thursday.
Arjun Reddy, Prameela, Ajay Ghosh essay lead roles. Ajay Ghosh has also written the story for the film while Mahesh Bantu is the director, screenwriter and dialogue-writer. Ajay Ghosh, who has impressed the Telugu audience with his villainous roles in many films besides Rangasthalam and Pushpa, is playing a different role in this movie. Nanduri Ramu is bankrolling the film under NVL Arts. Vengi has composed the music.
Its description reads, "Two rival fishermen clash on the burning issue of using ring nets. With politics adding fuel to the fire, how will the fisherfolk resolve their conflict?"
'Shubhodayam' Subbarao, Palasa Janardhan, Nanduri Ramu, Shankar, DV Subbarao, Ratnasri, Gemini Kiran, Vamsidhar Chagarlamudi, among others, form the rest of the cast. A song titled 'Jatara' from the movie sung by Oscar winner Rahul Sipliganj was released by senior Hero Srikanth.
