Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut's Chandramukhi 2 is slated to release on September 28th 2023. It is a sequel of Chandramukhi (2005) starring Rajinikanth. Chandramukhi 2 will now lock horns with Jayam Ravi's Iraivan and Siddharth's Chiththa. Directed by P Vasu will mark the re-entry of Vettaiyan and Chandramukhi.
In Chandramukhi 2, Vettaiyan and Chandramukhi will once again have a face-off and one needs to see if Chandramukhi manages to avenge the death of her lover. Ace comedian Vadivelu, who played Murugesan in the original, is the only actor to have been retained from the original.
Chandramukhi 2 has an ensemble star cast including Radhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar and Rao Ramesh to name a few. Chandramukhi 2 has music by Oscar winner MM Keeravani. R D Rajasekar ISC is handling the cinematography, while Anthony is handling the editing.
The film has been censored with the 'U/A' certificate. Chandramukhi 2's runtime is said to be 2 hours and 35 minutes. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
