Santhanam’s most recent film Kick hit theatres on September 1 and opened to unfavourable reviews. Written and directed by Kannada filmmaker Prashant Raj, Kick, which will mark Santhanam’s 15th film as a lead actor, stars Tanya Hope as the female lead. Kick is a remake of the director's Kannada film Zoom (2016).
Now, Kick will be released on three platforms as a part of the digital premiere. Fans in India will be able to watch the film on Disney+ Hotstar (September 28), whereas users outside India can watch it on Simply South & Tentkotta (September 29).
Billed as a comic caper, it revolves around an ambitious ad filmmaker who indulges in fraudulent activity. How he tries to gain back his lost goodwill and career forms the rest of the story.
The rest of the cast includes Senthil, Mansoor Ali Khan, Thambi Ramaiah, Brahmanandam, Ragini Dwivedi, Sandhu Kokila, Manobala, YG Mahendran, Rajendran and Vaiyapuri.
Kick is Santhanam's second outing this year after DD Returns which started streaming on Zee5 today.
