Dulquer Salmaan's high-budget Mollywood film 'King of Kotha' hits the silver screen on August 24, during the festival of Onam. Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, who made his directorial debut with the film. The movie revolves around Kannan Bhai and his gang, who are powerful people in a crime-infested town, but inspector Shahul tactfully plots the return of the 'King' to combat this reign and seek revenge.
The gangster drama was set to grace the digital screens on September 29, 2023, and it has now made its presence felt on Disney+ Hotstar. The platform making it accessible not only to Malayalam viewers but also to those who prefer Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
Aishwarya Lekshmi takes on the lead role in this movie, accompanied by Chemban Vinod, Shabeer (known as Dancing Rose), Nyla Usha, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Anikha Surendran, and Saran Shakthi in significant characters.
