Bollywood film industry’s celebrated filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj teams up with Tabu again for Khufiya, the slow burn spy thriller which is adapted from Amar Bhushan's detective book, "Escape to Nowhere". Alongside directing and producing the film, entertainer Vishal Bharadwaj has written it with Rohan Narula.
The movie will directly stream on OTT instead of getting released in theatres. Netflix has bagged the digital rights and the platform announced that the film will stream on October 05, 2023. It is not only available in Hindi but also in Tamil, English, Telugu.
Khufiya follows Krishna Mehra (Tabu), an operative at the RAW agent, as she embarks on a mission to identify and uncover a traitor leaking India’s defense secrets. Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni, Navnindra Behl, Shataf Figar, and Azmeri Haque Badhon also star in pivotal roles.
Khufiya marks the third collaboration between Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj after “Maqbool” and “Haider”. Vishal is also producing the film’s music while Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi is the man cranking the camera.
