Koozhangal / Pebbles is finally coming to an online streaming platform after a wait of two years. The film, directed by PS Vinoth Raj and produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under their Rowdy Pictures banner.
The film first screened at the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam and is based on a real incident of director Vinothraj’s family which inspired him to direct the film. ‘Koozhangal’ went on to win various accolades at multiple film festivals across the globe.
Features newcomers Chellappandi and Karuththadaiyaan in the lead roles. The film revolves around a man and his son, who travel across villages in search of his wife who has left home after a quarrel. It will premiere directly on a popular OTT platform Sony Liv on October 26.
The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography by Jaya Parthiban and Vignesh Kumulai. The film marked the debut of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan as producers. The actress-director couple went on to produce the 2023 film Shubh Yatra.
