Siddharth, the acclaimed actor, recently unveiled his second film of the year, "Chithha," which is produced under his banner. The drama, thriller directed by SU Arun Kumar, hitting in theatres on September 28. Siddharth's Chithha, which was released along with Jayam Ravi's Iraivan and Chandramukhi 2, has emerged as a sleeper hit among the three.
The film deals with the sensitive topic of abuse. Chithha made on budget of Rs.4 crores, it managed to rake in Rs.16 crores based on the strong story, performances and word of mouth. The film also includes an ensemble cast including Sahasra Shree, Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Nair. The film marks Nimisha Sajayan's Tamil Debut.
Chithha revolves around a man, who is trying to raise his niece alone like a daughter. When she gets kidnapped, Eeswaran goes on a crusade to save her. The highly praised film Chithha is all set to make its world premiere on Disney+ Hotstar from November 15 onwards.
The musical album is by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, Santhosh Narayanan, and Vishal Chandrashekhar, along with the cinematography by Balaji Subramanyam and editing by Suresh A. Prasad, which also adds to the film’s visual and emotional depth.
