Jiivi actor Vetri, Sheela Rajkumar starrer ‘Jothi’ is finally coming to OTT after more than a year of its theatrical release. Helmed by AV Krishna Paramatma, ‘Jothi’ is streaming on Aha Tamil starting on November 17 onwards.
The film's plot was based on a real-life kidnapping incident that took place in Cuddalore, and it was shot during the relaxed COVID restrictions in 2021. It also stars Krisha Kurup, Elango Kumaravel, Mime Gopi, Naan Saravanan, and SP Rajasethupathi among others.
Story: Aruljothi is a 28-year-old pregnant woman, who's to-be-born baby is abducted from her womb. A cop takes up this case to trace the just-born baby and solve the mystery.
Upon its theatrical release ‘Jothi’ received mostly negative to average reviews and did not create any ripples at the box office. It was rather described as amateurish, melodramatic and mediocre. It will be interesting to see how it is received on OTT.
