The trailer of Santhanam’s upcoming Tamil comedy film "80s Buildup" was released by the makers. Directed by Jackpot, Gulaebaghavali director Kalyaan, the film is slated to hit the big screens on November 24.
The 2.13-minute-long trailer shows Santhanam as a huge fan of Kamal Haasan who one day, on the release of Kamal's film, learns that his grandfather passed away. Sundarrajan, who plays his grandfather is being escorted by Yama and Chitragupta played by KS Ravikumar and Munishkanth. Parallely, Mansoor Ali Khan and his gang trying to get inside Santhanam's ancestral home to steal a knife to get rich. Santhanam meeting his lady love and trying to woo her.
The film has an ensemble cast comprising Radhika Preethi, Motta Rajendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Redin Kingsley, Anandraj, Munishkanth, KS Ravikumar and Tiger Thangadurai.
80s Buildup is backed by KE Gnanavel’s Studio Green banner. The film has passed the censorship formalities and has received a U certificate from CBFC.
