The much-acclaimed legal thriller Garudan, starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon in the lead roles, has started its OTT premiere on Prime Video from December 01. Although Garudan is not available in multiple languages, the film can be streamed in Malayalam with subtitles.
Garudan, directed by debutant Arun Varma, scripted by renowned writer Midhun Manuel Thomas based on Jinesh M's story. The film initially graced the silver screens on November 3, captivating audiences and swiftly amassing over Rs 16 crores in just 21 days.
The cast also includes Siddique, Jagadish, Thalaivasal Vijay, Dileesh Pothan, Abhirami, Divya Pillai, Arjun Nandhakumar, Nishanth Sagar, and Major Ravi.
The plot revolves around the legal clash between Harish Madhav (Suresh Gopi), a cop and Nishant (Biju Menon), a professor. As one strives for integrity and the other battles for justice, their intense conflict intertwines with the cop's pursuit to unravel a perplexing case.
The film marks the reunion of Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon after 13 years. They previously acted together in the 2011 film Christian Brothers.
The film produced by Listin Stephen's Magic Frames, has Ajay David Kachappilly serve as the cinematographer and Jakes Bejoy handling the music.
In an interview with The Hindu, Arun Varma said that a sequel to Garudan is likely, and that he and Midhun Manuel Thomas are working on it.
