The latest film of Tovino Thomas "Adrishya Jalakangal", which released in theatres on 24th November, got great reviews but failed miserably at the theaters and is ready for an OTT release. Directed by Dr.Biju, is all set to premiere on Netflix on December 8, as per the streaming app.
Tovino Thomas played a nameless character, for which he shed weight and made drastic changes to his appearance and then went on to produce it too. Apart from Tovino, the movie also stars Nimisha Sajayan and Indrans in the lead role. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Tovino Thomas Productions and Ellanar Films.
Synopsis: The movie focuses on a young man, who gets free from a mental asylum and goes back to the place where he previously lived. He soon gets a part-time job as a night watchman at a morgue, but things take a dark turn when he experiences unexplainable things.
The film premiered at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival (TBNIFF) in Estonia in November 2023, becoming the first Malayalam film in the official selection and the only Indian film this year to be selected.
