Amazon Prime Video unveiled its biggest slate of upcoming projects in India at its maiden showcase event - Prime Video Presents India in Mumbai. Amazon Prime Video announces the upcoming scripted shows include the Tamil shows. It will be released on next 24 months. Here is the list of the Tamil content and the details of the cast and crew.
Suzhal – The Vortex
The suspense thriller Directed by Magalir Mattum-fame Bramma and Anucharan M who helmed Kirumi. Written by Vikram Vedha fame Pushkar and Gayatri.
The series will be "an investigation into a simple missing person case unravels and rips the intricate social fabric of a small town". Stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Kathir, R. Parthiban, Sriya Reddy. Kathir is playing a police officer.
Vadhandhi - The Fable of Velonie
Vadhandhi is a noir thriller about the murder of a beautiful young girl, an unrelenting obsessed cop, a novelist captivated by her grace and an opportunistic news editor.
The series written and directed by Andrew Louis of Kolaigaran fame. Music Simon K.King. Produced by Pushkar & Gayathri's Wallwatcher Films. The series stars SJ Suryah, Nasser, Laila and Sanjana.
The Village
Arya first debutant webseries titled The Village. The Village, based on the graphic novel of the same name, This is the first Indian series to be based on a graphic novel. This show is directed by Milind Rau of 'Aval' and 'Netrikann' fame.
The Village follows a family on a road trip that falls victim to a clan of mutants. stars Arya, Divya Pillai, Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, Muthukumar, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram.
Arya will be seen playing the central character of a young doctor Gautham Subramaniyan. The show has been planned to be made on a bigger scale and will have a huge amount of VFX. Studio Shakthi Creative has produced the project.
