Lady Superstar Nayanthara upcoming Tamil Female centric - Survival Thriller film titled O2 which is directed by debutant GS Viknesh, a former associate of director Venkat Prabhu. The movie is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. This is Nayanthara's second collaboration with the production house, after the 2016-film Kaashmora co-starring Karthi.
The story of O2 takes place inside a bus. While Nayanthara plays the role of the mother, Rithvik essays the character of her son. Leena, RNR Manohar, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Jaffer are a part of this star-cast.
The story revolves around a mother along with her son travelling in a bus. In an unexpected turn, when the bus meets with an accident, both the mother and son along with the other passengers face the biggest challenge of survival. How the mother struggles to save her son from the deplorable situation forms the crux of this story.
An emotional thriller, director Bharath Neelakandan of K13 fame plays the antagonist. O2 has music by Vishal Chandrasekar while Thamizh A Azhagan is the cinematographer and Selva RK is the editor. The story of O2 is set across the backdrops of the hilly terrain regions of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
O2 might skip releasing in theatres, and it will directly be released on OTT platform of Disney+ Hotstar. Nayanthara’s Netrikann also had a direct digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
