Ajith Kumar collaborated with H. Vinoth for the third time, and this time the duo came up with a heist thriller film Thunivu was released in theatres on January 11 and turned out to be a massive hit. Despite the film clashing with Vijay’s family drama-cum-action flick Varisu, the film managed to find its audience, with packed theatres.
Buzz is that the film is all set to arrive on OTT. Popular streaming giant Netflix confirmed that the film is all set to stream from February 8. The audience can watch it in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi
The synopsis reads, "With the assistance of an ACP, a gangster and his crew prepare to rob one of Chennai's largest privately held banks. On May 21, they intend to rob 500 crore, which falls during the Governor's party celebration at his home".
Boney Kapoor is onboard as producer. The film also stars Manju Warrier as the leading lady. This is Manju’s second Tamil movie after Dhanush’s Asuran. The action heist boasts of a popular ensemble cast including Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Ajay Kumar, Veera, Mamathi Chari, G.M.Sundar, Prem Kumar, Mahanadi Shankar, Amir and Pavani Reddy.
