Shreyas Manju, the son of veteran film producer K Manju, debuted in Kannada cinema with Paddehuli, which didn’t give him the initial boost that he was hoping for. He then signed two other films, One was a yet-to-be-released film Vishnu Priya, which is a love story and another a hardcore commercial entertainer by director Nandakishore, called Raana.
Raana, which received mixed response during the theatrical release will now be streaming online. Noted OTT platform SUN NXT has acquired the post-theatrical rights of Raana and the film may land on the platform in February 16th.
STORY: A self-built man, Raana is an aspiring police officer who comes to Bangalore to clear all his documentation formalities for a Police job. The city is under the grip of dreaded loan shark brother`s Kapaali and Soori. But when Kapaali is killed, the blame falls on Raana. Will he find the real killer?
Reeshma Nanaiah, Takur R Baragi, Samyuktha Hegde, and others star in Raana, the music of which has been composed by Chandan Shetty, while the cinematography has been done by Shekhar Chandra. Gujjal Purushotham has produced the film. KM Prakash has edited Raana.
The actor is set to release Vishnu Priya in a couple of months. While an official date has not been announced, it is said that the team is eyeing a summer 2023 theatrical outing.
