The Tollywood box office saw a surprise blockbuster recently with Balagam, a low-budget movie starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Kavya Kalyanram, Sudhakar Reddy and Muraleedhar Goud. The film was directed by comedy actor Venu Yeldandi and is based on a Village of the Telangana state. The film marks Venu’s directorial debut. It was released on March 3. Since its release, it has built up positive response from audience and critics as well.
The film has now made its entry in the OTT space as it had its OTT premieres a little while back. Balagam is a rural family tragedy, it revolves around how the death of a patriarch unleashes rivalry among members of his family. The flick is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video (Only In India) in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam languages and Simply South (Outside India) in Telugu language.
