Karthi's 26th film will be directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, who is best known for making the films Soodhu Kavvum and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. It will be produced by Studio Green, one of the leading banners in Kollywood. Another exclusive update we have for you is that Uppena fame actress Krithi Shetty has been roped in as the female lead of the yet-untitled project. The genre and other details of the film are yet to be revealed. The film will go on floors soon after Karthi wraps up his ongoing Japan film shoot with director Raju Murugan.
Meanwhile, Kriti Shetty has also reportedly signed up for next Tamil film 'Genie' starring Jayam Ravi. Karthi is also awaiting the release of his film 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' directed by Mani Ratnam which is set to release in theatres on April 28.
