Preethi Asrani, who impressed audiences with her performance in the acclaimed Tamil film Ayothi, has been cast as the female lead in Kavin's Next. The upcoming film will be directed by choreographer Sathish. This is Sathish’s directorial debut, and the film is said to be a romantic comedy. The shooting is likely to begin by the end of this month. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
After this project, Kavin is expected to join hands with Elan, the director of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, for a new film. Kavin has been basking in the success of Dada, which had its television premiere recently. The coming-of-age romantic comedy marked the directorial debut of Ganesh K Babu. The film revolved around single parenting and currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
