Srikanth Addala’s latest action film, Peddha Kapu 1 has made its debut on OTT. The movie, which received mixed responses during its theatrical run, is now available (October 27) for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu.
Virat Karrna played the male lead in this film and it was his Tollywood debut and he impressed big time. Rao Ramesh, Pragathi Srivastava, Tanikella Bharani, Rajeev Kanakala, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Brigida Saga and Eeshwari Rai play key roles.
Plot: Peddha Kapu (Virat Karrna) hails from an oppressed community living in a Lanka village of Godavari River. The community and the people are always struck between two crooked politicians Satya Rangaiah (Rao Ramesh) and Bayanna. The rest is all about Peddha Kapu’s fight against the feudalists and his rise to become the candidate of the Telugu Desam Party which had just emerged as the only hope for the poor and the oppressed.
This movie also has a sequel. But as the first part was a major disappointment, there was a doubt about the sequel. Srikanth Addala, who has previously made films like Kota Bangaru Lokam, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Narappa, has received criticism for making a film like this.
